Standing Sun Wines

This winery focuses on Rhone varietal wines, using grapes sourced from Santa Ynez Valley vineyards. John Wright has spent the last twenty years running a design build company on the East Coast and is now part time in Santa Ynez. He has transitioned from preservation architect to winemaker and is now the full time winemaker for Standing Sun Wines, operating out of a winery facility in Buellton, CA. Laura Wright, "quality control manager," has spent the last twenty years on daytime television on such shows as The City, Guiding Light and now General Hospital, and is an Emmy winning actress.

An estate vineyard was planted on the owners' Ranchito de los Cerritos property in Santa Ynez and a tasting room is open in the center of their industrial winemaking facility.

A Sta. Rita Hills Pinot Noir is offered from Bent Rock Vineyard. The wines are sold on the winery's website.
