A family winery owned and operated by Ron and Cindy Helbig. Ron made wine as an amateur for more than ten years before mentoring under winemaker Laurent Montalieu. He launched Barking Frog in 2005. Both Pinot Noir and other red varieties are produced at August Cellars, a facility shared with six other wineries.
The wines can be purchased online through vinoshipper.com. Tasting is available at 128 W. Main St. in Carlton, OR Friday-Sunday from 1:00 to 5:00 PM or by appointment.

This is a solid wine exhibiting richness with restraint. Plenty of lithe red fruit, spices, moderate ripe tannins and
a refreshing finish with good acidic tang.
