Barbara Thomas Wines

Barbara Thomas Wines and Vigna Giovanni Vineyard are owned by Chuck Perasso and Jacki Bessler and their children. The couple moved to the vineyard in 2001 and launched Barbara Thomas Wines in 2005.

The wines are crafted by Aron Herr at 12th & Maple Wine co. in Dundee. He was experienced with the fruit from this vineyard before it was purchased in 2001. The winery's Pinot Noir is exclusively from Vigna Giovanni Vineyard.

Vigna Giovanni is located in the Yamhill-Carlton District AVA and was originally planted in 1983. Today it Theis planted to 3.2 acres of Dijon 115 which was field grafted in 2000 and 2001 onto own-rooted 108 Chardonnay, 1.1 acres of Pinot Gris and 2 acres of Riesling.
