Aged 11 months on the lees in French oak barrels, 34% new. · Moderately light reddish purple color in the glass. Oak dominates the character of this wine that has aromas of cherry, old book and toast and flavors of black cherry, dark berries, spice and tobacco. Decent balance of t n’a and some finish filled with sweet dark berry fruits. Score: 88. Reviewed December 13, 2016
