2009 Masút Mendocino County Pinot Noir

14.2% alc., pH 3.54, 700 cases, $40. Inaugural vintage. Aged 10 months in 55% new French oak barrels. · A stunning wine with alluring aromas of cherry pie and baking spices. Silky on the palate, with medium range flavors of red stone fruits wrapped in fine-grain tannins and bright acidity. Very approachable now. One of my favorites at WOPN. Very good (+).
