14.2% alc., $70. SF. Inaugural bottling from this vineyard. Clones 667, Pommard and 115. Aged 10 months in 50% new French oak barrels. · Moderately dark reddish purple color in the glass. Aromas of dark red and black berries, savory mushrooms and the slightest oak. Soft in the mouth, with a giving array of ripe berries supported by sinewy tannins. Still reserved, and will need cellaring for a year or two to bring out its best. Score: 91. Reviewed July 19, 2014
