2013 Williams Selyem Burt Williams’ Morning Dew Ranch Anderson Valley Pinot Noir 13.8% alc., pH 3.57, TA 0.63, $78. Released fall 2015. Aged 16 months in French oak barrels, 60% new and 40% 1-year-old. · Moderately dark reddish purple color in the glass. Moody, but pleasant, aromas of well-ripened black cherry, pomegranate and black raspberry. Superb intensity and length, featuring unctuous flavors of dark stone fruits and berries. Deft oak integration and modest tannins, finishing with a rush of dark berry goodness. This wine finds balance between fruit, tannins and acidity. Even better the following day from a previously opened and recorked bottle. Score: 92. Reviewed January 17, 2016
Winery: Williams Selyem
