AppellationSanta Barbara County
StoryA 5.5-acre vineyard dedicated to primarily Pinot Noir (5 acres) with 1/2 acre of Chardonnay, located on Jalama Cañon Ranch, a 1030-acre property a few miles south of the Santa Rita Hills in Santa Barbara County. Jalama Cañon Ranch was purchased by the current owners in 2004. Originally, the property was part of a much larger land grant to Jose Antonio de la Guerra in the mid 1800s. Since then, ownership of the current parcels has been passed down through the Hollister, Dibblee and Larson families and the current owners are the eighth family from the original land grant. Besides the vineyard, the property is an operating goat and cattle ranch.
