2016 Gary Farrell Russian River Valley Selection Rosé of Pinot Noir

13.2% alc., pH 3.16, TA 0.78, 393 cases, $32. Release May 2017. Sourced from Dutton Ranch Wat and Dutton Ranch Galante vineyards located in the cool Green Valley of Russian River Valley. Clones 37 (Mt. Eden) from Wat and Dijon 115 from Galante. Harvest Brix 21.0º specially for this bottling. Whole cluster pressed as a white wine using a gentle Champagne press program. Fermented in stainless steel tank. After a few days in tank, 40% of the juice was transferred to 3-year-old French oak barrels where it fermented to near dryness. The two components were later combined in a stainless steel tank where the blend remained on its primary lees for about two months. · Light salmon pink color in the glass. Lovely perfume of blood orange, strawberry and floral notes. Clean and bright, in a light styled wine, with tastes of nectarine, raspberry and blood orange. Finishes up tempo with refreshing acidity. 2015 Gary Farrell Russian River Valley Rosé of Pinot Noir

12.9% alc., pH 3.20, TA 0.72, 215 cases, $28. Sourced from The Wat Vineyard of Dutton Ranch in the Green Valley of Russian River Valley. UCD 37 (Mt Eden) clone. Harvest Brix 21.1º. Whole cluster pressed using a gentle Champagne press program that minimizes extraction and maximizes desirable solids for fermentation. 70% stainless steel fermented, 30% fermented in neutral French oak barrels for two weeks. Entire blend remained on the primary lees for about two months. · Delicate coral color in the glass. Striking aromas of crushed strawberries, blood orange and rose petal. A gorgeous, lighter styled rosé that sports vibrant acidity lifting the fruit flavors of strawberry, melon and citrus. Softly textured, finishing refreshingly dry. Score: 91. 2013 Gary Farrell Russian River Valley Selection Rosé of Pinot Noir

13.5% alc., pH 3.33, TA 0.65, 209 cases, $28. Released May 2014. Pinot Noir clone 37 from Dutton Ranch-Wat Vineyard in the Green Valley of Russian River Valley, harvested at 22º Brix specifically for this bottling. Whole cluster pressed. 70% stainless steel fermented and 30% fermented in used French oak barrels for two weeks. The entire blend was aged 2 months in stainless steel. · Lovely pink apricot color. Satisfying aromas of alpine strawberry, peach, yellow rose petal and a pinch of herbs. Plenty of verve on the palate with bright flavors of strawberry, raspberry, cherry and citrus.
