2014 Loring Wine Company Durell Vineyard Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir

14.2% alc., pH 3.66, 200 cases, $50. Released September 2015. · Moderate reddish purple color in the glass. The nose is very reticent upon opening. The core flavors of sweet red and purple berries and Damsel plum have lift and energy from an underlying lively acidity. The tannins are well integrated and the wine finishes on a tart cherry note. Much more enjoyable the following day from a previously opened and re-corked bottle when the aromatics and flavors became more expressive and the wine more cohesive. Score: 90.
