2014 Vino Vasai Estate Reserve Chehalem Mountains Oregon Pinot Noir

13.2% alc., $45. A barrel selection. · Moderately light reddish purple color in the glass. More fruit concentration and supporting tannins than the Dario Estate bottling deserving of a Reserve designation. Deep black cherry flavor of Pommard has a earthy mushroom note also typical of Pommard. Very classy and seductive on the palate, with enough tannin for age ability. Still solid the following day when tasted from a previously opened and re-corked bottle. No need to be in a hurry to drink this beauty. Score: 92. Reviewed December 13, 2016
