2016 Cosa Obra Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir

14.1% alc., $32. · Moderately light garnet color in the glass. Revealing aromas of black cherry, earthy flora and burnt tobacco. A wine with modest intentions, featuring mid weight flavors of black cherry, darkest strawberry, cola, tobacco and toast. Easygoing tannins make for comforting drinking, but the toasty oak is too pervasive for full enjoyment. Score: 88. Reviewed June 9, 2018
