![]() 2005 Westrey Reserve Willamette Valley Pinot Noir 13.5% alc., $30. · The finest barrels from each lot blended into a limited cuvee. Similar to the Oracle Vineyard bottling but richer and more reticent. Aromas of cherries, herbs, hay and oak build in intensity with time in the glass. The fruits are dark and substantial but the wine retains admirable finesse. There are still some tannins to shed but when this one reaches its apex in a few years, it will be one heck of a celebration. Reviewed September 15, 2008
