2005 Stag Hollow Vendange Selection Yamhill-Carlton District Willamette Valley Pinot 13.3% alc., $30. · The black label captures the spirit of this wine which stands out from the crowd. Likable nose of plum, cola and root beer with the slightest hint of alcohol. Enticing and substantial core of plum reduction sauce, roasted nuts and spice. Plenty earthy with lacy drying tannins and a warm, smooth mouth feel. Plenty to like. Reviewed September 15, 2008
