2006 Kawarau Estate Central Otago Pinot Noir
13.5% alc., $30, screw cap. Imported by Station Imports LLC, Colorado Springs, CO. · A complex wine with plenty of things going on, but the fruit never really comes to the forefront. Lean cherry, grass, earth, smoke, oak and a little vinegar scents. Earthy, grassy, woody and a touch green overshadowing the cherry core. Pushy tannins on the finish. Reviewed October 13, 2008
