2009 Expression Annahala Vineyard Anderson Valley Pinot Noir 14.5% alc., 220 cases, $48. Released April 2011. 100% de-stemmed, aged in 33% new French oak barrels. · Moderate reddish-purple color with slight haze in the glass. Appealing nose that is flush with fruits including fresh berries and plums. Mediumbodied flavors of darker berries wrapped in polished tannins with noticeable oak in the background. Will need some time in the cellar to better integrate the oak. Good (+). Reviewed July 1, 2011
