2009 Evesham Wood Temperance Hill Vineyard Eola-Amity Hills Oregon Pinot Noir 13.0% alc., $30. · Moderately light reddish-purple hue in the glass. A series of ever-changing aromas rise out of the glass including ripe dark cherries, fresh raspberry tart, sassafras and Herbs de Provence. The flavors echo the nose with a noticeable savory bent of pine, leaf and bramble. Plenty of nuance and character with remarkable aromatic persistence on the finish. Still great the next day from a previously opened and re-corked bottle. Very good (+). Reviewed May 11, 2012
