2009 Watkins Family Winery Crinella Vineyard Russian River Valley Pinot Noir 14.4% alc., 198 cases, $40. Clones are Mt. Eden, 115, 777 and Pommard. 100% de-stemmed, 5-day cold soak, aged 18 months in French oak. · Moderately dark reddish-purple color in the glass. Nicely fruited nose, offering aromas of black cherries and black raspberries. Juicy and crisp on the palate, with a tasty core of black cherries augmented by oak, wrapped in supple tannins, finishing with moderate depth on the finish. Good (+). Reviewed July 23, 2012
