2009 Bink Weir Vineyard Yorkville Highlands Pinot Noir

14.2% alc., $38. · Moderately light ruby red color in the glass. Demure aromas of cherries, spice, briar and marzipan. Lighter style, featuring flavors of dark strawberry and cherry with an earthy, cola-driven underpinning. The tannins are fine grain and modest, the acidity is bright and the wine is quite enjoyable although it does not offer the mid palate impact and finish of some other Weir Vineyard wines tasted. Drink or hold. Score: 89. Reviewed September 5, 2013
