2012 Kosta Browne Pisoni Vineyard Santa Lucia Highlands Pinot Noir

14.8% alc., 200 cases, $84. · Moderate reddish purple color in the mouth. The nose offers a mix of dark red cherry and strawberry fruits with a hint of sweet oak. Discreetly concentrated flavors echo the nose with an added hint of grilled plum. Noticeable finesse and easy approachability, uncommon for a Pisoni Pinot Noir. The finish is strikingly long - an observation I emphasized several times in my notes. Score: 92. Reviewed July 19, 2014
