2006 Patz & Hall Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir

14.2% alc., $34. · This wine is all about black cherry and black raspberry fruit with a healthy dose of oak. It is an in-your-face gulp of fruit that will appeal to lovers of this style. There are still some unresolved tannins (the wine is quite young and one of the first wines released each vintage - rushed to the market because of the huge demand). This is a wine you can count on for consistency year in and year out. Reviewed April 7, 2008
