2017 Merry Edwards Bucher Vineyard Russian River Valley Pinot Noir

14.5% alc., 580 cases, $63. Pommard and Mt Eden clones. · Dark garnet color in the glass. Aromas of the blackest cherry, earthy flora and smoke. The copious, very ripe fruit coats the palate, but the harsh tannins make for fatiguing drinking. This wine drinks like a young Cabernet Sauvignon. Score: 87.
